Season 9: Episode 6 - The Weight of the Prized Artifact!
Naruto and Kiba are ordered to escort a man named Shinemon who is transporting a rare and valuable artifact. Shinemon makes the mission almost insufferable with his pompous, overbearing attitude and his willingness to put the two in danger just to protect his own interests. Bandits steal the artifact, and when Naruto saves Shinemon after he puts his life at risk to try to save the Kacho Fugetsu, he teaches him that people are more valuable than possessions. It is also revealed that the Kacho Fugetsu is not truly worth very much.

Season 9: Episode 4 - Genjutsu or Reality?
Naruto and the group take Kurenai and Yakumo back to Konoha, but when they get there, the entire village is in ruins. After dropping Kurenai and Yakumo off at the hospital, everyone leaves to investigate. After looking around, Shino figures out that what they are seeing isn't real. Elsewhere, Naruto is told they are in Yakumo's genjutsu. Can everyone escape from Yakumo's grasps, and what is her purpose for all of this?

Naruto gets to talk to Yakumo about Kurenai and her. Yakumo then reveals that Kurenai didn't want her to become a shinobi, but she wanted to prove to her parents that she could become a jounin. Naruto then learns that the Third Hokage and Kurenai planned to seal her powers.

Naruto sneaks into Yakumo’s mansion in the night, and has a dream that Kurenai threatened to seal Yakumo’s abilities. He then discovers that this is the reason why she left the team, but Kurenai refuses to disclose any more. As Kurenai goes to see Yakumo, several Kurama Clan members attack.

When a mysterious girl paints a picture of Konoha, Naruto notices and realizes that the picture is under a stormy sky. He points out that the sky is clear, until clouds soon cover the sky. When the girl shows lightning striking the Hokage's place, it happens! The girl is soon apprehended by the ANBU, who tell Naruto that what he has seen is not important. Meanwhile, Kurenai announces that she is leaving Team 8! For what reasons has Kurenai decided to leave, and how are the current events involved?

Naruto, Sakura, Lee, and Kakashi are assigned to protect the prince of the Moon Country, Michiru, and his son, Hikaru. When Michiru takes a liking to a rare sabertooth tiger on exhibit at a circus, Michru ends up buying the entire circus, forcing the group to protect it as well. However, when the group finally arrives at the Moon Country, they discover that one of the nobles, Shabadaba, has taken over the country and hired three powerful ninja assassins to dispose of Michiru and Hikaru. Now the four ninja must fight against an entire army and three ninja assassins to protect the two heirs to the throne, and with the help of the circus, put a stop to Shabadaba's evil plans!
